Services we offer for Treatment-Resistant Depression
A therapy that helps patients with treatment-resistant depression via a different mechanism than traditional medications. Ketamine acts on the glutamate pathway and stimulates neurogenesis – the growth of new brain pathways – and neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to adapt and change.
An effective treatment which uses magnetic stimulation to stimulate the brain, providing effective improvements in areas that control your mood. rTMS has shown to be effective for 60-80% of patients.
Psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy combines psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) with psychotherapy to promote self-reflection and break through rigid thought patterns by enhancing neuroplasticity.
A type of biofeedback therapy that helps brain waves move toward a state of optimal health and well-being. While not indicated specifically for depression, it can improve your overall mental health and improve stress and cognitive performance.
Also an effective first-line option for many mental health conditions, including depression. We have a range of trained psychotherapists to suit your needs. Psychotherapy focuses on how we deal with our thoughts, feelings and behaviours to move our mental health toward better patterns of thinking and behaving and improve depression.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Depression Treatment at Field Trip
How is this different from the therapy I’ve already tried?
Our therapy stands out because it’s designed to help you heal at the root, not just manage symptoms. Guided by trained medical professionals, our approach uses safe, supportive sessions with special medicines that can speed up breakthroughs. Unlike regular treatments, this therapy helps you reprocess past trauma in a healthy way, allowing for deeper healing in a short amount of time.
Our discovery program is intensive and evidence-based, offering 16 hours of focused therapy over just 3 weeks to achieve the best possible results. This isn’t a quick fix – it’s a carefully crafted, hands-on approach that many clients find life-changing.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
As all sessions are conducted with a registered therapist (psychotherapist, registered social worker, psychologist, registered clinical counsellor, etc.), you may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement under extended health benefits, depending on your employer or insurer's coverage limits. We will provide you with the necessary documentation to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider.
Are there any conditions that would make me ineligible?
Our program is not suitable for those with the following conditions:
Allergy to specific medications
Pregnancy
Personal history of schizophrenia or psychosis
Uncontrolled hypertension (blood pressure)
Severe recent head injury/trauma
Does this treatment replace my therapy or medication in the long term?
Our approach builds upon the effectiveness of traditional talk therapy. The combination of psychedelic medicine and talk therapy means our treatment can have an impact more quickly, and over a shorter period of time.
Ultimately, our program is meant to provide long-term relief from the pain of mental health conditions. Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy is a powerful tool for healing.
