Amanda Laprade

Registered Psychotherapist

I am a compassionate psychotherapist with 7 years of experience in helping individuals overcome emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University and I specialize in substance use
treatment and trauma-informed therapy. I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing and draw
from a variety of evidence-based techniques, including but not limited to EFT, attachment-based methods, polyvagal theory and CBT.

My approach is warm, empathic, and non-judgmental, creating a safe space for clients to explore their inner experiences and find the support they need. I value a trusting, collaborative and holistic approach to therapy that is tailored to your unique needs. My expertise extends to
areas including addiction issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and grief; and I employ various therapeutic interventions, including mindfulness, emotion-focused techniques, inner-child work, experiential exercises, and cognitive-behavioral methods. My goal is to empower
individuals to enhance self-awareness, develop coping skills, and build resilience for meaningful life changes.

Through personal experience I firmly believe in the transformative power of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy as a tool and guide to foster healing, personal growth, and overall well-being. I’m dedicated to helping my clients achieve greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and personal fulfillment through a holistic approach, which includes psychedelic medicines, to
address both symptoms and underlying root causes of distress. My passion and dedication in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy lie in delivering compassionate and effective therapy, guiding individuals toward a more fulfilling and balanced life; and my work is guided by the belief
that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

When I am not providing therapy, I enjoy spending my time reading novels, connecting with
family and friends and watching my daughter grow and transform right before my eyes. She is my most precious gift and brings immense joy to my life.

I’m excited to support you on your path to emotional well-being, healing, and personal growth. Taking the first courageous step towards healing sets the course for a brighter future. I’m here
to walk this journey with you, helping you navigate the challenges you face. When you’re ready to embark on this path to positive change, I warmly invite you to reach out to me. Your healing journey begins with that first connection.

Jacob Pollack

Registered Social Worker

Jacob is a Registered Social Worker who has been working in the fields of disability, mental health care and addictions since 2015. Having transitioned from an earlier career in evolutionary-developmental biology, his psychotherapeutic approach integrates evolutionary theory, attachment, polyvagal and sensorimotor modalities with certified training in CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing. Jacob has worked alongside individuals and facilitated therapy groups in a variety of community/hospital/shelter settings, exploring the links between mental well-being and having unmet emotional needs during childhood as well as in adulthood. Through this work, he saw the many ways in which invalidating social environments contribute to the onset of depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia and chronic physical pain. Jacob is excited to support clients using ketamine and other psychedelic medicines to safely let go of unneeded thoughts, feelings and behaviours, gain personal insight and allow space for their innate healing capacity. By cultivating connection to our authentic selves we can more easily strengthen our bonds with our loved ones, our community and nature. On the side, Jacob is a community organizer, plays guitar in a local funk band and enjoys trail running in Gatineau Park.
