Our therapists are trained in principles relevant to psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
No psychedelic substances are provided or used in online therapy.
For individuals learning about psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, therapists can help you understand what this approach generally involves and whether it may be appropriate to discuss with a prescribing clinician.
Our clinic network allows therapists to stay informed about emerging therapeutic approaches related to non-ordinary states of consciousness. This perspective encourages openness, compassion, connection, and non-judgment in therapy sessions.
Each session is tailored to your goals and preferences. Your therapist selects tools and modalities that align with your needs.
Our therapists consider the interconnected aspects of your life and collaborate with you to build a therapeutic plan that supports your emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Sessions may include somatic work, visualization, breath-based techniques, and other evidence-informed methods that help clients explore emotions and build internal resources.
Many clients find virtual therapy comparable to in-person work. Over time, clients often describe increased clarity, insight, or coping capacity as therapy progresses.

Yes. In addition to their core professional training, our therapists participate in Field Trip Health’s internal education program focused on trauma-informed care, supportive counselling, and principles relevant to psychedelic-informed psychotherapy. This prepares them to offer ethical, grounded support for clients who are learning about non-ordinary states of consciousness or exploring whether psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy may be appropriate in a medically supervised context.
All our licensed therapists—including registered psychotherapists, social workers, and clinical counsellors—are in good standing with their respective professional colleges.
Once you book your session through JaneApp, you’ll receive a link via email. Simply click to access your virtual therapy session through secure video chat.

Our virtual therapy sessions are currently available to residents of Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.
Yes. Our clients can choose between online therapy sessions and in-person care at one of our clinic locations. Many clients opt for a combination of both.
Each online psychotherapy session lasts 50 minutes.
Costs vary by location and therapist. Please refer to your chosen therapist’s JaneApp booking page for exact pricing.
Our online therapy sessions do not involve the use of psychedelics. Our therapists are trained in psychedelic-informed approaches and in the principles of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, which helps them support clients who are learning about non-ordinary states of consciousness or exploring whether psychedelic-assisted care may be appropriate within a supervised medical setting.
Online psychotherapy can be a helpful starting point for building trust, receiving support, and discussing whether psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy might fit into your overall care plan. If a client later pursues services that are medically supervised and legally available through Field Trip Health, they may continue working with the same therapist for continuity of care.
No. All online therapy sessions are sober, talk-based psychotherapy. For supervised psychedelic-assisted therapy, please refer to our In-Person program page.
Yes. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for most mental illnesses and therapy goals. Many clients report deep connection and meaningful outcomes through virtual therapy.
Our nurse practitioners provide medical assessments, diagnostic support, and prescribe medications within their regulated scope of practice when clinically appropriate. For clients exploring psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, NPs also complete the required medical evaluation to determine eligibility within a supervised care pathway. If you’re considering psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and have already had your discovery call, a consultation with one of our nurse practitioners can be booked here.
